Wounded Warriors Abilities Ranch First Gala!
This weekend, Hotes Foundation volunteers were honored to attend Mike Delancey's Wounded Warriors Abilities Ranch (WWAR) in Pinellas Park, Florida. Lance Corporal Mike Delancey was one of the first recipients of a tracked wheelchair from the Hotes Foundation. Having helped test the chairs in the initial stage of the program, he also worked hard as a volunteer for the Hotes Foundation in Haiti, and has continued to inspire veterans by getting them out and active through the WWAR which he founded in 2013.
The Hotes Foundation wishes to congratulate Mike for the success of his WWAR foundation's first gala this weekend, which raised $20,000 to help build facilities for wounded veterans and their families at the Abilities Ranch. In the same effort to get wounded veterans active as the Hotes Foundation's tracked wheelchair program, Mike and the WWAR help veterans by getting them exercising and having fun on the ranch and beyond. We want to say a big thank you to Mike for following the Hotes Foundation's model of changing giving to going by taking the challenge of helping others into your own hands as a leader personally delivering help to those in need.
