Thanksgiving 2016 With A Haitian Creole Kick!
Happy Thanksgiving from Haiti! Last week, Lake Azuie villagers celebrated Thanksgiving in Haitian style! Over 600 people attended this year’s festivities, which included great food, live music, and a night of dancing! The village cooks poured their hearts into creating a feast fit for a king - roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, fried plantains, rice, lasagna, macaroni and cheese, salads, and pumpkin pie! This year’s Thanksgiving celebration was the 3rd Thanksgiving provided by the Hotes Foundation, as part of our program to raise the village out of poverty.
The Hotes Foundation team is thankful for our amazing Haitian volunteers, villagers, and staff. God bless us, everyone!
