Veteran’s Honored with a Welcome Surprise This Fall!

Wounded veterans across the U.S. got a welcome surprise from the Hotes Foundation this fall. Our team travelled the country hauling custom made, all terrain track chairs to personally deliver to the homes of these brave men and women.

“I can finally get out of the house now” said retired Sgt. Gary Taylor after receiving his chair. He plans on taking the chair hunting and fishing in his backyard woods. “I haven’t been able to do that on my own in 18 years.”

In honor of Veteran’s Day this Friday, we’re sharing video stories of sacrifice, courage and perseverance, told by veterans themselves. It’s our duty as Americans to ensure their losses aren’t in vain. So we will work hard to thank them for everything they’ve done, and thank active military members for keeping us safe.

  1. It is wonderful that you are able to give these brace men and women the freedom to leave their homes on their own. I know how it is to be dependent on others to take me out. I can only imagine the joy that these Vets feel to be independent after all those years attached to a chair that was not made to allow them their freedom. I was never noble as these men and women are but I can hope one day to feel that freedom again. You are true heroes for giving these people the freedom they lost serving our great country. I am glad you can't imagine being stuck on level ground, nor would I ever want you to know how it feels to become a prisoner in your own body. You have done wonderful things for them and all the other work you and your crew does for the people in Haiti and around the world. What a way to retire. Keep up the good work and have a wonderful holiday season.
